• The GE Excitation Power Card consists of one 20-pin ribbon cable and five 10-pin connectors. The card has four terminals to add components and two trimmer resistors.
• The 10-pin connector IDs include JA-RUN, CAL1B, and JB-COM. There are five 10-pin connectors, you must select the appropriate ribbon cable for each connector. If the board is installed without the ribbon cables connected to the correct connectors, you’ll have to shut down the drive and reattach the ribbon cables properly. This will reduce drive productivity and disable operators working on drives in the surrounding area.
• The 20-pin ribbon cable that connects to the drive cannot be removed from the board. It is critical that it is completely seated in the connector.
• It is critical to route the 10-pin ribbon cables correctly when connecting them. That is, do not connect them with power cables, which can interfere with the signals carried by the ribbon cables.
